I tried to install flash using the guide on the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _on_Arch64) and got this message after typing:
nspluginwrapper -v -a -i
Auto-install plugins from /home/user/.mozilla/plugins
Looking for plugins in /home/user/.mozilla/pluginsIt doesn't display any errors, it simply stops there and doesn't install. What can I do to get flash working?

Did you install nspluginwrapper-flash or nspluginwrapper-flash-beta from the AUR?

I have tried it with both, each gives me the same result.

Does the directory /home/YOURUSERNAME/.mozilla/plugins actually exist?
It must exist for the wrapper to find the plugin.
After installing nspluginwrapper-flash (WARNING! ~/.mozilla/plugins/ must be a dir, if it doesn't exist, create it), make sure you are not in a root console, and type in:
....from the wiki.

Just curious, have you considered using swfdec-mozilla? I installed the plugin a few days ago (available in the "extra" repo) and so far flash works for everything that I need in Firefox and "pacman -S swfdec-mozilla" is just so much more convenient than jumping through all of Flash's 32-bit hoops. It's not feature-complete yet though, so it really comes down to the features/effort ratio.
Here's the swfdec-mozilla page, if you're interested.
There are "gnash" packages too... haven't tried them though.

You could also just follow the guide for flash in opera.
It has a builtin wrapper, and i think it works much better then firefox (witch is also bloated).
Opera 9.50 comes with a 32 bit wrapper so nothing like nsplugin is needed. Simply install the dependencies listed above and then do the following.
install opera
download flash tar.gz from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download … kwaveFlash
unpack flash with tar -zxvf <install*flash>
as root: cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/opera/plugins
Also, i recommend not using pacman -S opera, but pacman -S opera-snapshot.
It was a huge leap for me going from opera in repo to this one, it was much more snappier, and still havent had a lock due to flash on any website.

Have you tried running " chmod -R 755 " on the /usr/lib/mozilla directory and the retrying?

I was able to get it working by extracting the .so from the latest Adobe download, placing it in ~/.mozilla/plugins and running nspluginwrapper -v -a -i. It complains about the ELF32 format of the file when firefox starts but everything works.
