[solved] can't boot into 2.6.26. error 'attempting to create root fs

after updating to 2.6.26-2, i can't boot into it.
I get the error 'attempting to create root filesystem
it then gives some errors, and recommends i add try adding 'rootdelay=8 to kernel' (which i tried, and it doesn't help)
i wouldn't mind too much, as i can just boot the old kernel, but now, when i run a 'pacman -Syu' i get the error

resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: linux-uvc-svn: requires kernel26<2.6.26

any ideas?

Re: [solved] can't boot into 2.6.26. error 'attempting to create root fs

fixed it (after a while reading around)
removed 'linux-uvc-svn'
from what i've read linux-uvn-svn and kernel26 were merged.
but strangely enough, i installed arch on this machine last month, so i don't see why a merge that happened ages ago would have affected me (i also don't remember ever having installed linux-uvn-svn, but oh well
at least it's fixed now wink
