Favorite text-based browser?

I usually like Elinks, but it isn't working well on my machine. It takes way too long to connect to each site, even after disabling ipv6. It seems to be a common bug/problem. Until it's fixed, I'll try another one.

What's your favorite?

w3m is one of my first pacman -S's on a fresh install.

Re: Favorite text-based browser?

I use links2, it's enough for me and the -g switch is great...

Re: Favorite text-based browser?

I like w3m too.  I mostly use it as a pager instead of less.  I like being able to use a mouse with it though, so I have to tweak the  official pkgbuild a bit.  I also like the way it converts html to text with the page formatting pretty much intact.
w3m http://page.html > page.txt

emacs-w3m is cool too, but I don't use it that much.

Re: Favorite text-based browser?

I use w3m, mostly for the reason mentioned above - page formatting is mostly intact, which is a very nice feature.

Elinks.  BitTorrent, JavaScript, tabs, 256 colors, list continues.

links. Just works, and is a wonderful thing to have when X borks on you.

Re: Favorite text-based browser?

I was surprised to only hear about links / elinks all the time. I always had a much better experience with w3m (both rendering and usability).
However w3m was already mentioned 3 times so that reassures me a bit smile
