Pidgins new icons

Anyone else think they're just plain worse? They look bland, washed-out, lack contrast.

I'm in the process of trying to bring the old ones back, any tips are welcome.

OK, here's how I did it:
luckily I had the old package still in the cache, so I unpacked it and copied what was in usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin over the current /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/
Dirty - yes, but it works.

I really like the new icons better. It goes better with my gtk theme.

All I don't like is the blinking tray icon, with that smiley, I preferred the red balloon.

It's probably because of that blue tint, it just doesn't look good with my green/grey gtk theme, the old icons are a lot more neutral and fit everywhere.
