OK, so I upgraded my linux machine from ancient hardware to brand new hardware I couldn't get the old Arch install to boot anymore, so I started with a fresh install of Arch 64.
Anyway, I use FEH for my image viewer, and fullscreen always used to be truely fullscreen. On my new install "fullscreen" is only like a maximized window. Anyone know how to fix this so its truely fullscreen again?
Is this an issue with FEH, or Metacity, or something else?
Thanks

feh's fullscreen mode works here with stumpwm, xmonad and pekwm. Might be a metacity issue. Is there a way to tell the wm to remove borders around specific windows? That could be a workaround. You should also check with the metacity folks to find out what's going on.

yeah I am thinking it is a metacity issue. May have to dump metacity and use something else. Thinking I might try fluxbox.

update: definitely an issue with Metacity WM. I'm in a GNOME/Openbox session right now and the FEH fullscreen mode works like it should
