I've been bitten by the arch bug, stopped my days of distro hopping already.
Only have 1 question, at the moment i'm running GNOME 2.22.3 but I want to upgrade to the newest version of GNOME (think its 2.23.5 at the moment) but have searched pacman and int he AUR but doesn't look like its in either. Is there an easy way to get the newest version? (like a gnome repository or something)
Thanks

2.23 is a developmental series on the way to 2.24 so won't be in the official repos. If it is not in the AUR, you will need to look at packaging it yourself.

but again, it not the newest version, only the _development_ release and arch only packages the latest stable software(unless it's in the unstable repo ofc..) so you might want to reconsider.
come to think of it, you'd might want to reconsider the "i need the latest of everything" mindset and adopt the "i'll upgrade if there's anything i need" one, because it saves a lot of headaches

Thanks for the answers, I know I should really reconsider the "i need the latest of everything" mindset but I love having a bleeding edge distro (even if it does cause me lots of headaches)
I think i'll just leave this and wait for it to hit the repos.
