[solved]boot stops when it is initializing ACPI

I have a laptop with windows vista and I want install arch linux in dual boot, but I can't boot with the ftp-core dump i686 version and the voodoo i686 version.

when the init scipts are taking over, in the step "initializing standard ACPI modules" or something like that the computer just freeze.

I have no idea what it could be, I tried both kernel options (normal and ide-legacy) but the boot stops in the same spot, and I tried others distros, one is brazilian called Kurumin that didn't work ider but the gentoo 2006.01 cd worked - and i have ubuntu and slackware but ... no way, even if it works -

the laptop have this cpu:
pentium dual cpu T2370 - ACPI x86

the hardware manager says that the battery have a compatible control method with windows ACPI, I have no idea what that means

What can I do about this?
