(tip) International keyboard + xorg + xkb errors

I've searched and searched. when I use keyboard layouts in gnome I get XKB errors. I have found no good solution on google or on here.

Alright

so what I did was pacman -S kdebase

and run kxkb - this one works.

To get it loading at every gnome startup, go to

applications -> preferences -> advanced -> sessions

then click on Startup Programs, add, and type in kxkb and click ok.

Then execute /opt/kde/bin/kcontrol, configure your Keyboard Layout (in regional&accessibility), configure, and you should be set.

because that produces XKB errors for which I have found no viable solution by searching on google and this website. I have found TONS of ppl have been having this problem in gnome since they use xorg, and I have tried all the solutions yet none of them worked for me. So finally I just went for kxkb.
