I just install Arch Linux into my laptop, everything works fine, except that I am not able to get the sound working, no matter what I try. I have been follow the Beginner installation Guide to setup my sound.
I don't know where to do from here. Any one know what I can do?
the system do detect my hardware snd -intel8x0

Can you tell us if you hear anything with this command in shell:
speaker-test -c2 -Ddefault -twav
Hit CTRL+C to end test when desired.

Check out alsamixer in a konsole window and see if your card isn't mute. This has happened to me many times, where everything is fine but I 've to unmute mixer channels...

Well make sure the non-root user you add is a member of the sound group. The guide also says to run alsamixer as the master volume is muted by default, although I haven't had any such experience.

Thanks you so much Guy, I fix the problem by reading the wiki page. I need to disable one of the output in order for the sound to work.
