Installing to alternative location

Shortsightedly I installed arch64 into a small partition, thinking i wouldn't use it much (7 gigs). Lo and behold, it's my primary OS. I'm trying to install Never winter nights and I've got the package made and everything. Unfortunately, i only have 2.4 gigs available on my root partition and apparently NWN uses a lot more. I want to tell pacman to put everything nwn related into a seperate partition i've mounted to another location (/abyss (i call it abyss because i think it may be corrupting my data, that's another story)) and i want to install it ultimately to /abyss/programs/games/nwn. How do I go about changing the install directory from the default /opt/nwn to /abyss/programs/games/nwn? Thanks.

Re: Installing to alternative location

I'd try with mount --bind.
