compiz (core) - Error: Couldn't load plugin 'gconf'

Well, whenever I try to load up "compiz --replace gconf", that's the error message I get. I'm not exactly sure how to fix it....

if I use fusion-icon it boots up using ccp, something which I have no idea how to edit, and something which doesn't seem to be to my liking

Could anyone help me get the gconf plugin, direct me somewhere or something? I'm really not sure why it's not working, and it's driving me crazy. *sniffles* I want my gconf working.
