Re: Minor graphics issue with compiz fusion [SOLVED]

I have tried to install xorg-server-gentoo to see if this helps. It seems to help a little bit but still happens. Reloading the window manager through right clicking the compiz fusion icon at the top right corner of the screen seems to help, so it's possible that there might be a conflict with compiz and metacity even though metacity is supposed to be replaced when fusion-icon is running. Just an educated guess. smile

Re: Minor graphics issue with compiz fusion [SOLVED]

actually i give up and uninstalling this crappy application. not even the forum for compiz fusion can supply a solution for me. this is too unstable and not worth the aggravation.

Re: Minor graphics issue with compiz fusion [SOLVED]

Note that for nvidia something that worked for me (Nvidia 9500M GS) was to:

cd /usr/lib/xorg/modules
rm libwfb.so
ln -s /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libwfb.so.1.4 ./libwfb.so

This file is wrong in the nvidia driver set, it is mentioned somewhere here in the forum (among with some other forums) this link fixed allot of my problems.

Re: Minor graphics issue with compiz fusion [SOLVED]

Thanks for the reply but that didn't work either. I'm done with compiz fusion until I upgrade my equipment or they develop another version that is more stable.

Re: Minor graphics issue with compiz fusion [SOLVED]

I upgraded my video card to a eGeforce 8800 GTS and all is well. It's amazing what you resolve with a little upgrading. smile
