K3b returns error 255 ..cannot burn TAO CD

Understand some problem exists with k3b versus kernel 2.6.8.1-3.

Not at all sure how it is to be fixed.

K3b runs fine in knoppix3.4 with kernel 2.6.5.

Assumed the problem would be fixed with kde upgrade.  Wrong.

Any ideas or fixes?
