I haven't run pacman -Syu since june because I was at the cottage. I'm afraid that if I update everthing at once, I might cause problems. Any bad updates I should be aware of? Maybe I'll do one repo at a time, leaving a couple days in between to notice problems.
Here's the output
[duncan@duncan-arch ~]$ su

First of all, installing a new pacman won't hurt your system! Updating your /etc/pacman.conf with the /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew is of course highly recommended. After doing that, rerun -Su and feel free to post the output

I will upgrade pacman, I just wanted to show everything it wanted to do.

You shouldn't have any problems. Update away!
The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

The only thing I saw that some people had issues with is the switch to kde4. Should be pretty smooth otherwise.

Take your time though to read all the output of pacman upgrade. Some configuration files change, so don't take for granted that everything works the same as it used to. On the other hand this is true whether you upgrade every day, week, month or less often.

I use gnome, I just have kde installed, so if kde doesn't work right away, it doesn't matter.

I did all the updates.
I had some issues when I tried to do a couple at a time, like not being able to get into gnome, but everything seems fine with the full upgrade.
So, for anyone else, if you have many updates, do them all at once.
