As I said before, that is not chrome, is chromium, and is not even a full browser, just some applications.

Kensai's right (of course). This has now been added to the page linked above:

Note: There is no working Chromium-based browser on Linux. Although many Chromium submodules build under Linux and a few unit tests pass, all that runs is a command-line "all tests pass" executable.

Re: Google Chrome

I tried it at work and some things were nicer, but it wouldn't run SAP employee self service, the java(script??) driven frames would load, show for a moment then close, but the menu on the top frame was still there. That's the same problem IE (woops meant to say that FireFox has) has with SAP.

I hope they are going to care really about releases for linux (not in the way they care about - say - googleearth or picasa which are always out-of-date and often broken in the linux version).

I'm liking it for now (not as much as to drop ff though). More minimalist but it uses more memory than firefox. Can't wait to test it under linux.

Are you sure this is for the browser? If it is, what does Content and what does Services refer to?

Well, if you are trying to build the chromium utilities, then you should go ahead and try to debug that problem. Vut if you are trying to get a working browser, aka google chrome out of it, then, it is not Google Chrome.

This is the 3rd time I say so. I am getting the feeling that people does not read my posts. tongue

That is just the standard google applications (like mail, docs, etc) User agreement. If you want to know about what info goes back to google goto the privacy page on the chrome website.

The Monster is open source... I will just wait until there is a sane version, with all insane things (like sending information to google) eleminated smile. Firefox is great but chrome is defently faster and has some nice concepts...

In this case monster referred to google.

Who cares which company is the maintainer, it's a great basis for a browser and released on a great licence.

Am I talking about the Windows build, have I ever mentioned the windows build? Is anyone here talking about building the chromium utilities on Windows? Go ahead and build it on Windows for all I care. But never say I'm wrong before having facts.  Check here, see the warning, there is no possible browser that can be built for Linux yet out of the chromium source.
