stuttering playback of videos

After the last update of catalyst i recognized stuttering video playback (xv or gl) no matter which player i use (vlc, mplayer). Does anyone has the same problem or even knows a solution?

I'm having the same problem, I tried switching sound drivers from alsa to oss but no difference, only noticed it this afternoon, i'm thinking i might downgrade the drivers see if that fixes it.

Fixed by downgrading to catalyst 8.7.
