Arch install: Select packages. Only one available?

Hi!

I just tried to install Arch and got a problem. In the wiki it says that I can select between four package categories: base, support, devel and lib. But I only got one: "base-devel". Why is that? I chose the base-devel and installed. Is everything correct?

Yes as far as I know it is only that one option. Just follow the wiki from that point on. You're doing everything correct like I did.

Yes, base-devel is the only option now - wiki needs updating.

I don't also see a "Select all packages by default" option. Do I have to manually select every package?

Re: Arch install: Select packages. Only one available?

If I go ahead with those that are selected by default I get a lot of warnings about 'dependency cycle detected'.  Finally I get a 'failed to commit transaction' error followed by an 'error downloading gcc-libs-4.3.1-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz' and the installation aborts. But I suspect that the last error is due to a corrupted cdrom. Let me burn the cd afresh and try again. If in the meanwhile anyone has any advice please let me know.
