Re: Xbox Gamepad

The module xpad is not loaded. It seems that in your computer it is not loaded automatically. In that case you have to load it with modprobe xpad as you said before.

Do you have the latest kernel?

$ pacman -Q kernel26
kernel26 2.6.26.3-1

Re: Xbox Gamepad

I have the latest kernel. But

modprobe xpad

produced no results

yaourt xpad

produced

1 community/xpad 2.14-1
     Stickies-like notes program

Which is hardly even close

Re: Xbox Gamepad

Very odd. Maybe trying the whole path?

modprobe /lib/modules/2.6.26-ARCH/kernel/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.ko

Any result with modinfo?

The community/xpad 2.14-1 is another program, not the driver for the xbox gamepad. The driver is included in the kernel package.

Re: Xbox Gamepad

Input

modprobe /lib/modules/2.6.26-ARCH/kernel/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.ko

results in

FATAL: Module /lib/modules/2.6.26_ARCH/kernel/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.ko not found.

Could it be due to the fact that I installed the Thinkpad26tp kernel and it removed it?

modinfo xpad

gives
