This is probably a very newbie question... XP I am in the middle of installing Arch on an HP Compaq nc6000 laptop and lshwd says I need the tg3 driver for my Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme Ethernet card.
During the Package Selection, I went into base-devel, which was the only section. I found & installed wireless-tools and netcfg (for WPA encryption) but couldn't find tg3. I'm still stuck in package selection and I'm unsure what to do. How can I get the tg3 driver?
Thanks so much for your time!

The driver is included along with the kernel
I need to explicitly loaded it though (either add 'tg3' to the MODULES= line in your rc.conf for it to be loaded every boot, or manually with a 'modeprobe tg3')
Hope that helps,
Welcome to Arch!
