Hi everyone,
I recently installed Arch completely new again (well, my file sys was destroyed), installed FF 3.0 and the flashplugin. My problem is that FF still doesn't support Flash, the "original" plugin from Adobe won't install because it doesn't want to find the Firefox directory.
Maybe anyone could help me getting flash to be supported by my Firefox (again, before I reinstalled it worked fine with the flashplugin)?
Thanks and Greets

Welcome to the forums blubbediblubb.
Are you trying Flash RC1? If so it's not going to work simply by installing it. The flash devs built it against libcurl.so.3 and the current version in Arch is libcurl.so.4.1.0.

hmm yea that may be the problem... is there a version built against libcurl.so.4.1.0?
Edit: I tried building the package using yaourt, it got (and built) the libcurl.so.3 package and then the flashplugin against that one... still doesn't work

That will work. It also may cause major headaches for you in the future. So if anything you have requires curl and not functioning properly, remove the symlink before you file a bug report so that the devs aren't chasing phantoms.
