odd gnome shutdown/reboot problem

hi all,

i am using gnome, all run fine, but just have one problem on shutdown/reboot, when i run system->shutdown, and choose either reboot/shutdown, the gnome-panel off, remain desktop wallpaper, and freeze there a few second (the shutdown process is on going). then it jump to other ttf a second then machine is off.

suppose when we reboot/shutdown, it will immediately switch to other ttf, and show each services stopping, then only turn off instead of hanging in gnome without prompt any services stopping line.

any one face this problem as well? eventhought it doesnt break the shutdown process but it is not normal. any one got the solution?

thanks.
