Spontaneous X server crash!
While I was doing some perfectly mundane stuff on my desktop, my X server crashed and went into an endless cycle of restarts; I had to switch to a virtual terminal and kill it. Based on the log, can anyone tell me what happened so that I can prevent it in the future!

Re: Spontaneous X server crash!
I've seen this lockup several times, when this happens, X aborts and tries to restart itself several times (actually gdm does it), and I won't get in X until I reboot the whole system.
I haven't seen this with the xorg-server from testing yet, but with 1.4.2 I could reproduce it now and then by playing a few games of aisleriot on my G33.

You have an intel video chipset. Are you using xcompmgr or similar?
That makes X randomly segfault here (on my 82845G system).

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.
