conky conflicts with compiz

hi,
when in xorg.conf there are lines:
Option    "Composite"    "Enable"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
for compoziting to work, then conky disappears from the desktop (KDE4)

do you have any idea  why ?
I tried with all possible options in conkyrc: override, desktop, normal but no solution
then it is: either properly running conky or compoziting

Have you tried

own_window yes
own_window_type desktop

?

That's the only solution i've found to get conky to play somewhat nice with xcompmgr, maybe it works for compiz as well.

with desktop it does not allow to stay conky window where the panel is
in that case, it is covered by other windows
but desktop works as you say - just not like I'd like to
is it fault of conky or nvidia ?
