I'm looking for a nice nano type app that does coloring like showing commented lines in different color.

If you are looking for a GUI type application kwrite may do.
If you are looking for something more CLI style but powerful then gvim or vim will surely make you happy.

Or, if you're still a nano fan, download nano-syntax-highlighting from the AUR...It comes with some nice syntax hilighting options for many different types of files.

Or you could try the instructions here: http://wiki.linuxhelp.net/index.php/Nan … ghlighting
Edit: Nevermind, what jdhore said is basically the same.

You can have syntax highlighting in nano without downloading anything.
Just edit /etc/nanorc
Near the end of the file just uncomment the syntaxes you want to use.
There are a lot of other features you can also uncomment, like my favorite... smooth scrolling.
