I use an Ipod with Arch no problems Gtkpod does all the work it supports photos and video as well

I used to have Creative Zen Vision:M (30Gb). Worked nice with Gnomad2.

Ended up going with 80gig ipod (for the space mostly) and have had a good experiance interfacing it with songbird.
