et-sdl-sound working, but with problems..

Hi,
I got et-sdl-sound working so that I can play it with sound, but there is a wierd high looping noise for about 5 seconds before the game actually starts, after which it's completely normal. Unfortunately, I'm a perfectionist , so if possible I'd like to remove that annoying very high noise.

Hm, Testing the normal et binary without the et-sdl-sound makes sound work without the wierd noise, but I'd like to have other applications with sound running in the background. And besides, it could stop anytime But I don't know why it suddenly worked, I didn't do the echo command as root to get it working..

BUMP.
Any ideas? Sound somehow stops working with the normal et binary, but sometimes it will work..
