Re: KDE on archlinux?

Sure.  KDE 4.1 is in the Arch repos.  If you want the KDE 3.5 release you can look at the KDEMod project.

Re: KDE on archlinux?

You should have a look at our wiki, especially the Beginners Guide (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners_Guide).  It should answer most of your initial queries about Arch.

Sadly enough, the KDE page is mostly focused on those upgrading (and when I say mostly, I mean completely). It is not a particulary big deal, but it leaves a somewhat bad impression compared to how great everything else is written.

I'd gladly write something about it, but I fear it's beyond my skills.

Re: KDE on archlinux?

Installing KDE on a fresh Arch is as easy as: "pacman -S xorg kde ttf-bitstream-vera" (don't forget to run pacman -Syu before)

Hey, at least I updated it for KDE4.1.
If you have suggestions for what needs to be added, give me an email at arch.dave@yahoo.com or post something here, I'll watch the thread.
