[solved] kernel26 - cdrom not showing up in /dev

Hello new to the forum,

I've done a bunch of search on some others who seem to be having similar problems to try and get some idea of which direction I should go to solve this issue....but have gotten nowhere....I know it worked upon first installation before I did a system update from 25->26

this is the dump of dmesg

Re: [solved] kernel26 - cdrom not showing up in /dev

Thanks. I do believe i had done that first thing after a fresh install however. I'll give it a go when I get home.

Re: [solved] kernel26 - cdrom not showing up in /dev

I've had this problem for a few months now, so I used my own kernel 2.6.25.  I can confirm that the kernel upgrade fixes my problem as of now, I'm glad to see it worked for you.
