wxgtk, lmule, amule - - broken

In the past few days, maybe there's been a wxgtk upgrade, I don't remember, but since the last few days when trying to start lmule or amule I get:

lmule: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk-2.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I don't have libwx_gtk-2.4.so, but I do have libwx_gtk2-2.4.so. Making a symlink gives me an other error when starting lmule, about lib version not being correct.

Submit bug reports.  They need to be recompiled.

Xentac is this necessary a bug report?
or could one just flag out of date the pkg, then pkger will see if new version is out. and if not, he might think that needs recomplining.

anyways, please make flagged-out-of-date visible also without clicking on a PKG

Bug reports are better than making the dev think there's a new version when there isn't.

Re: wxgtk, lmule, amule - - broken

file a bug report is ALWAYS better than posting here or clicking package-out-of-date. Many of the package maintainers do not frequent this forum and if a package does not have a new version then what ever bugs need fixing will not get fixed because all that the maintainer thinks is the package is out of date.

I don't know how you could make the out-of-date flag could be made available without visiting the package info.

well seems a bug report was already there - and it won't be fixed soon, as the lmule package maintainer is waiting for a new lmule release but lmule isn't being developped anymore.

Re: wxgtk, lmule, amule - - broken

thats pretty lame. lmule should just be dumped from the repos. it has not been developed for over a year (maybe more) and to delay fixing the other broken apps to wait for what is not coming is just plain dumb.
