notifier app for facebook/gmail/arch forums?

hi,

is there some sort of all in one notification app that can parse html and stuff? it would be neat to have some that gave little notifications for:

Email (gmail)
Facebook
Forums (arch)
etc..

and if all this could be accomplished with a simple "login to your facebook account, and gmail and arch account" that would be totally sweet.

then just a little icon for gmail, facebook and archlinux forums with a number by it, saying all the stuff has happened. designed after the facebook notification style.

well, you can have your arch and facebook accounts send email to gmail, then all your tool would have to do is check gmail for a specified label and is:unread

Simplistic, but it could work.

Or use RSS feeds. I'm sure facebook exports some things as rss, right?

oh that would be easier... smile RSS cool. now something to parse it and put it as small cli tool with the focus of doing one thing and doing it well.
