failed to install from iso

Dear all,

I installed 'unetbootin' in ubuntu. Then i got an nice entry in grub menu.lst.
Unetbootin gave me two choices: 1. ftp 2. other media
I chose other media, then i mounted newest arch.core.iso to /src. installer could not find /src/core/pkg.
Just for fun, I tried to mount iso somewhere else, mkdir /src/core/pkg, and then linked all the packages in iso/addon/core-pkg/ to the path /src/core/pkg. Unforunately It did not work either, complaining the 'unsatisfied dependency to older kernel '.

My question is whether there is a way for me to install from an iso. I have no cd burner, cd drive, floppy. The only things i have is a wpa wireless network through a usb chip driven by ndiswrapper, and an working ubuntu.

I remeber that people used to be able to install arch from an iso, and I also found wiki articles about installation from iso, but the world changes always. If you find my ingorance is hilariously funny, please excuse me, 'cause I live on Mars, a little bit far from your earth.

Thanks

desper

Re: failed to install from iso

You could try installing a live cd and then customise from there.

I wish you better luck than the last Martian who tried to install Arch...
