hello,
hope someone can offer some advice here: i have a ~new lenovo t61 laptop with intel sound hardware.
* all alsa packages have been downloaded via pacman and installed.
* the alsa daemon starts on bootup.
* alsamixer has been run, nothing is muted,
* "alsactl store" is done also.
* i'm using gdm login manager with openbox wm; the onboard volume and mute buttons are working,
* alsa drivers are selected.
* system beeps and .wav files (played with aplay) work fine, but there is no sound when trying to play a cd from the drive. apps like cdcd or kscd execute all functions properly and think their status is playing fine, but yet there is no sound.
any ideas?
