well -- i'm back to announce the newest member of the zen-sources family : drum roll please.....
zenmmotm -- its similar to zenmm -- which is based on mortons release which remains as of this post to be: v2.6.27-rc1-mm1
the catch about zenmmotm is that its daily -- or so we will try to keep it -- that means that @ Andrew Morton's kernel.org userweb he posts a broken-out.tar.gz -- in this archive there there is a set of patches that must be applied by quilt against the latest prepatch -- so as of now zenmmotm is based on v2.6.27-rc4-mm1 -- so this is the latest and greatest up and coming stuff
i added this kernel because zenmm was a hit and there seemed to be a lot of interest -- zenmmotm is really for the _very_ adventurous (i know that comment alone has made some people want to do it -- saying -- 'bbs i'll show you whose adventurous -- don't hold my hand') -- people who won't need to poke _me_ specifically about how to get their NVIDIA drivers to work although there seems to be a new PKGBUILD in AUR thx to rooloo -- very nice -- so you can poke him about this (sry man) -- anyways -- i hope everyone has fun with it -- feel free to ask me questions if you need help -- and submit bug reports to me ASAP or whenever you feel like doing it
as always feedback is welcome and appreciated -- but i can't promise i'll make the changes you want -- thats all for now and thanks
/jT

What do I gain by using this?
I moved away from zenmm because it was slower and more unstable than zen-git.

Is there any other mirrors besides <git://zen-sources.org/zen/kernel-mm.git>?
When I try to build the package, I keep getting the error: "fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly."

git has changed, check here http://gitweb.zen-sources.org/?p=kernel.git;a=forks to adjust the new paths (see mirror URL in each project).
for zenmm, it's now git://zen-sources.org/zen/kernel/zenmm.git

The first time it worked, but when I went to go turn on a module I forgot and ran makepkg, I got this:
==> Fetching zen and mm kernel goodness...
-> Recreating master to make sure, there is always a working branch...
PKGBUILD: line 56: git-checkout: command not found
==> ERROR: Failed...
==> WARNING: Trying git-checkout with -f flag instead...
==> WARNING: This will throw away local changes...
==> WARNING: Press ENTER to continue or CTRL+C to abort...

i mean you obviously have git installed -- please move all conversations to the other kernel26zenmm-git thread -- because this thread is for a kernel that i have deprecated due to its non-use and inability to be updated for the public the way i like -- its simply too developmental for most -- you are referring to zenmm not zenmmotm which are _very_ different -- check your git install and git-checkout -f should be fine because its a fresh copy as well as the fact that depth = 1 iirc -- back to learning haskell
good luck

The two latest git updates have not included the git-checkout command, dunno why.

Same version as you, but I have just found out that git-checkout is located here: /usr/lib/git-core/git-checkout and that command works. I wonder why it is moved in that directory now.
