SATA DVD not detected

My DVD is not detected.  It is a Dell with a nvidia motherboard.  It works fine with some other distros.  dmesg:

I tried the realtime kernel, and it worked.  So 2.6.25 supports this drive, but 2.6.26-ARCH does not.

I have this drive, the WD3200AAKS-7, and all I have to do is use "irqpoll" on my kernel line to make it work out
