Help with GDM

I turned GDM into a daemon because it was easy but now I have learned that might have been a bad idea. I can no longer log in because I din't make a user account first that I can log into. I was getting the basics set up before I did that part. I am a newb to arch but have run slackware and ubuntu before. please help guys.

Re: Help with GDM

Welcome to the forums.

Once you're at GDM, press Ctrl+Alt+F1. This will put you into a console. Log in as root add your user from there:

useradd -m -s /bin/bash YOUR_USER_NAME
passwd YOUR_USER_NAME

You can then get back to GDM by pushing Ctrl+Alt+F7.
