mozplugger

I've installed mozplugger but I can't seem to get it to work with firefox. Mozplugger.so installed to /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins. I tried making a symlink to ~/.mozilla/plugins but that didn't work either. I've got xmms and mplayer installed so I assume all the necessary codecs are installed.

Has anyone come across a problem with mozplugger concerning this that they could share with me?

Re: mozplugger

<thread necromancy>Wherever mozplugger is supposed to replace mplayer plugin-in, it doesn't. Sure openoffice "plugs-in" fairly nicely and so do rasmol and evince. But something about the MP_STREAM line in mozpluggerrc makes it fail to play videos even when mozplugger is enabled and mplayer plug-in is disabled. I'd try to fix it but I don't know m4.</thread necromancy>
