When I up upgraded xorg-server to testing version 1.5.0-1 it was notifying many errors and crashed so I resolved to downgrade it to extra/xorg-server (v 1.4.2-2 and I also properly downgraded all depencies like xf68-video-*). I expected that everething will be ok, but when I ran 'startx' it was also notifying errors and crashed. At the end of error notify has been written this error message:
waiting for X server to shut down FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.
So I thing that it might be problem here.
My complete xorg log is here http://neimenuje.php5.cz/Xorg.0.log
I can't work with my computer now for that reason, so I thank for all helpful posts.

I've forgot upload my xorg.conf. It's here http://neimenuje.php5.cz/xorg.conf.
Nobody knows how to resolve it? Has anybody had same problem?
Offline
have you downgraded all xorg related packages from testing -> extra ?
Offline
Yes, I have. It was only 2 packages: xf86-video-vesa and xf86-video-nv. I properly downgraded are also.
Offline
I think that it might be a bug, please can somebody check it?
Thanks

I have decided to give bonus 10$ to person who will resolve it today (by 22:00, GMT+1 .

It might be easier to troubleshoot the current version. You would be able to focus on xorg issues instead of dependency issues.

Try running X without xorg.conf (rename it for instance).
The new version is pretty good at autodetecting available hardware.
Also you might be missing the xf86-input-evdev package.

Thank you very much, it's working. I installed xf86-input-evdev and xf86-video-fbdev. But I don't see why it's not contained in X.Org package depencies.
Offline
Because they are not mandatory to run X.
But with the new hal support, maybe xf86-input-evdev should be included in the xorg package group.
