After upgrading my system with pacman -Syu this evening, I noticed that whenever I started worker or the xscreensaver daemon the following error message was printed to the console:
worker: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: no version information available (required by worker)
the xscreensaver daemon also produced a similar error message on startup:
xscreensaver-gl-helper: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: no version information available (required by /usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1)
What does this message pertain to my copy of gcc (upgraded gcc (3.4.1-2 -> 3.4.2-1) on sept 7th) ? or is it something else?

This seems to be getting posted all over the forums. The error is displayed when a package needs to be rebuilt against the new gcc. Please file a bug report.

Hmm, there already seems to be a" gcc 3.4.2 causes trouble" task in the list. Perhaps I'll just drop a comment there about worker and the xscreensaver packages respectively.
