E17 Startup Applications not working [SOLVED]

In one of my systems E17 Startup Applications refuses to add any new applications, effectively preventing me from using this feature with new applications.
On the other hand, I had added Pidgin to the startup applications a while back and it continues to start it correctly.

I suppose that there is a corruption. Is there a way to edit the configuration file to "reset" its contents? Or is there another way to deal with the problem, like erasing my personal settings or something?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if this will help, but E17 start up applications go into:

/home/<YOUR_USER>/.e/e/applications/startup/.order

It's a simple text file with line-delimited .desktop files.

Maybe something went wrong with the permissions? I know that all folders in that directory, both user and group, belong to my regular user on this system.

Re: E17 Startup Applications not working [SOLVED]

Well ... I deleted the ~/.e directory and all its subdirectories and the next time I logged into E it was recreated and the problem was solved.
I presume the problem was due to some sort of corruption in my profile settings that given it is a binary file it is not possible to analyze, so deleting it seems to be the answer.

Thanks for your help skottish.
