I was wondering about the possibilities of the "-ARCH" patch: ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/other/kernel26/ … hname}.bz2 .... which is: (_patchname="patch-${pkgver}-1-ARCH")
My question is about what it patches. Specifically, how it effects suspend/hibernate/resume......
When I've compiled my own vanilla kernel without the "-ARCH" patch, I lose the ability to resume from a suspend......
I have tired both vanilla uswsusp, and a "tuxonice" patch with no luck.
With uswsusp I am able to suspend and create an image, but when I try to resume, it "breaks" my SWAP by deactivating it, and then it skips to a regular boot up..... and usually I have to do a "swapon -a" to activate my SWAP.
With tuxonice, it starts a suspend, then it stops and says that my nvidia module won't let it. The gnome app called "cheese" also turns on without me starting it.

Thanks, I'll read through it and hopefully I'll learn how to fix resume for my vanilla zen2 kernel.
