I'm trying to configure KDE to share a folder with a Mac OS 10.3 computer.
Using the Control Center I enable simple filesharing, allowing all users to share files under their home directories. On the desktop, I view to properties of my shared folder, and under the shared tab it says:
Error running 'filesharelist'. Check if installed and in $PATH or /usr/sbin
I can't find filesharelist, which should be in the KDE bin directory:

I also can't find fileshareset.[/list]

You have a weird kde 3.3 instalation, like mine was I don't know why but a lot of people have this issue after upgrading kde, there are a lot of files vanished.
$ pacman -Qo /opt/kde/bin/filesharelist
/opt/kde/bin/filesharelist is owned by kdelibs 3.3.0-1
So, try to reinstall kde "by hand", package by package:
pacman -U arts...
pacman -U kdelibs...
pacman -U kdebase...

Thanks topito. I'm actually setting up a client's computer for him, and it's been a rough ride given my total lack of experience with cross-platform networking.
I'll give your suggestion a shot next chance I get. I'm also trying to get netatalk compiled for more full-functioned and transparent networking with his iMac. http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … highlight=
Thanks again!
