Hi, I am just wondering, how can I set my Arch to access CD/DVD drive? I have already done this:
# sudo gpasswd -a sdoky optical
# sudo gpasswd -a sdoky audio
it helped for the audio, I couldn't play any audio before this command was executed. However it does not help with accessing the CD/DVD drive.
Can you please help me?
Thanks
PS: I have rebooted the machine since then, doesn't make any change at that point.

looks like you need to add 'video'.

By the way, how are you trying to access your optical drive? Is a program or the shell spitting out permission errors? Is it a simple matter of using the correct device node (/dev/sr0) ?
