WillySilly?

Anyone else notice this?  It seems overnight the orphaned packages in the AUR jumped by about 320.   Somethin' fishy goin' on here, I sez to myself.  So I start to inspect.

They're all WillySilly's packages.  So I dig further.

A guy on IRC tells me that WillySilly started cursing out of nowhere, said he's "had enough of these damned package requests" and logged off.  Now I do a /whois on him and he's hanging out in #ubuntu.

Is this for real?

Perhaps a more serious question - anyone wanna take over his 320+ packages?

Re: WillySilly?

I laughed, because he tricked you.

besides, no big deal we decided that the AUR was to be removed, and all TU's laid off, without pay, in order to complete our [stable] repo.

Re: WillySilly?

I don't know, I think the joke is on WillySilly because he will have to manually grab all his package again. Talk about a PITA ;P

Wow, back when I was a TU, and not a dev, but then I became a dev, and stopped being a TU, and then became a forum mod, and stopped being a dev.
