I plan buying a new computer and use RAID0 (stripped array). I do know that there are some normal BIOS settings that will have to be set up.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how am I going to install Arch on it.
I am also interested in this problem.

Yes, I'm also interested.

Just bought another 40Gb Maxtor to match the old 40Gb one and all I've done so far is wipe both of the drives trying to create an array (oops).

I can get to the arch install, and create a RAID array (from the BIOS) but the installer doesn't recognise any disks....
