how to change the resolution of graphics card in my xorg.conf?
I don't wan't to use graphical druid I only won't to change resolution in file xorg.conf,how to do this ?

The PreferredMode and Modes lines are of importance here.
But note that this setup is for my old PC with a 19" CRT and xf86-video-ati driver. I'm not so sure about binary drivers, and if your screen doesn't get detected properly you might also have to define stuff like DisplaySize, HorizSync, VertRefresh, Modelines and such.

Well, what is your current resolution and which one should it be?
I'm also not a big fan of using 'hwd -x' for generating xorg.conf, so get rid of those Modelines, all of them. And delete all Display SubSections except for the 24 bit one; you're not going to use anything else anyway.

I find that to change the resolution I must use shortcut - left alt,ctrl and - or + from numeric keyboard
