I'm trying to launch Arch on a Toshiba A100 Satellite (original one) but whenever i change my bios to load the cd drive it just stuffs up and launchs XP. The disc was burnt from the iso files and i dont understand why it wont even boot up. if you need a video of what is happening ill put one up on youtube and link people to it.

Have you tested with a different disc to be sure it can boot?
Did the md5sum checkout OK?
Did you burn at the iso at a low speed [4x, 8x]?
If you can boot usb, consider the .img instead of the .iso
