Brasero hangs on burning dvd

Using Brasero from AUR, I added two .mkv video files to make a data dvd and it just hangs at the end at 100% with the DVD drive light solid, I have tried 2 discs now and gotten 2 coasters. I just tried another disc from the same spindle with K3b and it burnt fine, same files and all. Also, Brasero does not burn more than ~2.8x speed, even if I indicate Max speed or select 16x. And the odd thing is, I burnt a DVD-RW a day ago after installing it and the disc burnt fine.

I really would like to use Brasero as opposed to K3b so hopefully somehow this can be fixed. When Brasero hangs at the end I cannot seem to eject the disc or anything, Brasero even closes fine but the drive light stays solid and I have had to shutdown and turn the box back on each time to open the disc again.

Are you using the cdrkit or the libburn backend?

I just checked K3b as well, and it depends on cdrkit too, so they are using the same thing but of course K3b is working right...

Check if you have libburn installed. Brasero will preferentially use it over cdrkit when possible. If it is installed you might want to try removing it.

Okay, I removed libburn. Two more coasters with Brasero, it gives an error right at the very end of the burn (right at 100%/0 time remaining). I copied the log (too long, had to pastebin it), Here: http://pastebin.ca/1227545
Happened twice. The DVD can eject and all that's fine, but the disc is no good.

Searching for the first error line (BraseroGrowisofs stderr: Total translation table size: 0), I found other people with the same problem as you, although I saw no solutions. Perhaps you should file a bug report upstream.
