VLC refuses to integrate video into its interface

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. The option is, of course, checked under preferences and I've messed with VLC's configuration as much as possible, as well as remove the current config files to try and restore it to defaults, but no matter what I do VLC always displays video outside of its controls. This is also causing a problem with fullscreen videos as VLC doesn't display the pop-up controls that it would if the video was contained in the interface.

Anyone else with the problem? Any solutions?

I just went back to vlc-0.9.3-5 for now until vlc fixes it.

Re: VLC refuses to integrate video into its interface

Thanks, I did my searches for this before and I wasn't turning anything up. Sorry for the double post on this issue.
