extract rss feeds to plain text in thunderbird

hi guys,
thunderbird is a great app not only as a email client but also as a rss feed reader.i have subscribed to several rss feeds; but unfortunately most of them aren't provided as plain text messages, so i have to download the whole website within my mail client. that's kinda annoying and kills quite a lot of time.

my question: is it possiblte to extract the news from the website (perhaps there's even an addon for thunderbird wink ) to plain text or do i have to use a command line based reader!?

best regards smile

Does this do what you want?

View -> Message Body As -> Plain Text
