Today before i left home, i started the remote desktop app (vino-server) so that i could connect (and ssh just in case).
I tried many times connecting (using win xp at work) but all clients got "connection refused". I connected via ssh to check if vino-server was running correctly, and if it was listening for connections (port 5900). But then i found out its only listening ipv6 (:::5900) and not ipv4.
I googled and a simliar issue is reported as a bug in ubuntu and debian:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/vino/+bug/228370
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=480863
I must add that i dont have that "local only" option checked in preferences, yet it won't listen ipv4.
Anybody has any clue about this? No1 uses vino-server as a vnc server?
Thanx.
